KBS MAX MT 85 Steel Iron Shaft is a lightweight shaft for mid to high handicap players. It produces a high trajectory and spin rate for longer distance shots.
I was fitted into Hot Launch Max irons as I'm only in my second year playing and I'm a 20+ handicap just looking to have playable clubs. These have performed as advertised--the launch is high, the irons are extremely forgiving and for the first time I actually have clubs that fit me (+1", 2 degrees upright). I have two criticisms: 1) the swing weights, especially for the 5 and 6 irons, can feel quite heavy; 2) these are made as super game improvement clubs, but these are almost a little too hot--my dispersion is suddenly much wider even if the ball is now going in the right direction. These clubs, especially in the scoring irons, have a tendency to produce far more distance than you expect, especially if you have a higher swing speed as I do. I will likely continue to use these for this season and then upgrade to something with more traditional lofts and better dispersion. That said, these are perfect for beginners and I have zero complaints about the club quality. Tour Edge makes good products!
I am left handed and it is next to impossible to try clubs and have to special order and I have to hope I get a proper fit. I paid for a local fitting to get details correct but I found out that TE would sell an individual 7 iron at a discounted price for trial. I bought both a Max and a Max D to compare. TE informed me they couldn't ship the Max due to the shaft being backordered and offered to substitute another shaft that was the same specs as the stock offering in order to get my order shipped. I decided to order the Max after trying both. TE is great at keeping you notified about any issue and customer service was extremely helpful in placing my order to match my shaft preference. Great company.
After (almost) three weeks, the back fell off of my PW, AND I have to send it back (after trying to find a box). NOW, I get to be without my PW for about two weeks while it is either repaired/replaced. That’s AWESOME during golf season…
I’m still getting used to the Tour Edge clubs, but I already see that I have added some distance and that I’m hitting the ball straighter. The feel is good.
After a short delay for weather-related delivery, I received the full irons set in perfect condition and security. I loved the fact that they could be adjusted for upright number, something my fitter insisted on. I took them all to the range today and immediately found them to be outstanding! Great fit, construction and finish. Tremendous feel! And OMG the ball flights!! I can't wait to get them out on the course to put them all through their paces and see how many strokes I can carve off my 20~ handicap game! I recommend Tour Edge completely!
They look good and feel great. I feel that my ball striking has improved somewhat. The Ascent shaft at 55 grams allows you to feel the head of the club, which helps ball striking. Have been using C722 set for several years and felt I needed a little more help. I think this set provides that.
I purchased these to replace my Paradym X irons. I have played one round so far with Hot Launch irons and I absolutely love them. They are so easy to hit, the accuracy is tremendous and I have gained probably 8-10 yards in distance. The feel is perfect. No harsh feedback on mis-hits. The irons do what they are advertised to do.
Just played my first round with my new irons, still adjusting to the new distance between my old ones. Slightly heavier than my old ones but that helps me know where the club head is. Enjoyed the game and can't wait to tune them in before our trip to myrtle beach!
I finally got to use my 6 Ironwood and the 7 through PW Hot Launch Max irons. They helped my break 90 today! All of these clubs have a soft but good pop feel, when I find the sweet spot. I do believe I see about 5-8 yards more carry. The 57 gram Aldila Ascent graphite shafts make it much easier to get decent swing speeds. At age 79, it was time for lighter graphite irons. I made the correct choice. Well made and quality clubs, for considerably less that the Big Brand Name irons. As a Senior golfer with an Index of 21.5, Tour Edge has met my needs for newer golf tech.
Ordered a 7 Iron Hot Launch Max to try out and was very pleased with it. It had great distance and forgiveness. Loved the feel of the club. I plan to order a set soon!
I’ve never hit a wedge so high with incredible stopping power. I had so much fun and will put it in play in two days. Thanks for a great club that’s also affordable.

I didn't like the way the iron performed. It wasn't the iron I wanted to test. I was told the e725 was no longer available for demo sale and this was the closest thing to it.
I brought the Hot Launch seven iron to the local driving range. Compared to my older Nike iron, it was much easier to swing. The difference between the ninety gram steel iron and the Ascent fifty five gram graphite shaft did increase the club head speed. That increased speed equaled about eight to ten more yards in carry.
The feel was a bit muted, but the ball flew off the club head with a nice high flight. Until I changed my grip a bit, I was pushing the ball. The fact that this club gave me consistent shots, allowed me to adjust my swing, reducing the shot dispersion. I can't wait to get it out on the course, for a true performance appraisal.
The aesthetics of this club looks neat, polished and closer to a players club, than a game improvement club. The chrome finish may show more scratches with use, but that seems a minor issue.
I hope to add input to this review, after use on the course.
So far, I feel I have purchased a club that will add to my mid+ handicap abilities.

The purchase experience was excellent - I got the demo club, two degrees weak, standard length and requested the grip just in the box - and all that was done correctly. Not sure this is the right club for me - that's why I got a demo. I will probably try the iron wood next.
I have used the irons four times now and love them. They have given me added distance and more consistent shots. I live within 20 miles of the factory and love being able to call and order and then go pick them up. The employees are very helpful.

How much fun do want to have on the course? I came from a super game improvement iron that was not really to my measurements. After some research and a wrist-to-floor chart I found, I decided to give Tour Edge a try. I LOVE these irons. With clubs to my length and lie, I am sailing the golf ball. As these are cavity back, the weight is a nice balance and helps with speed. Center strikes are rewarded with amazing accuracy, but off center shots are kept in play and not punished. You do sacrifice feel, but most game improvement irons have that drawback. Excellent price, excellent shipping speed and fun performance. Do not doubt yourself. Purchase these and give your game the shot in the arm it needs.
The back came off my PW. Was told it was only cosmetic and could send back for repair. I did it myself. I see others have had the same problem.

Cavity backs game off of not 1, not 2, but 3 of my 2025 hot launch models. Took a month to get them back (in the middle of golf season) and they didn’t even bother to clean the clubs for me. Preciate it yo.
